FORD HEADLINER  1967-72 FORD TRUCK HEADLINER - Part Number FORD 6772-TH
ORIGINAL STYLE FLAT PANEL HEADLINER Description: Headliners for Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford trucks are made for the make, model and year of the truck specified. Most headliners made between the 1930s and 1940s were constructed using an oil impregnated cardboard and were molded to fit the upper roof of the truck cab. All of our patterns are based on out-of-the-car originals that someone has sent to us for duplication. Application: Restoration Trucks, Street Rods and Customs. Delivery: If the pattern is one we already have, delivery is immediate. Materials Used: ABS plastic with a medium embossed leather grain ("chicken track" on 1935-36 Ford trucks). This material is easily formed with heat and duplicates the original look and texture exactly. ABS plastic is very tough, yet flexible, and does not show scratches or scuffs. It can be easily dyed with a flat vinyl plastic spray paint. Recommendations: The roof panel in a truck is like a large drum and produces a lot of noise in the passenger cabin. It is also a major source of heat from the sun (especially when painted with a dark color paint). Quiet Ride Solutions recommends that you sound dampen and insulate the roof panels befor installing the headliner. Pre-cut roof insulation kits are available for most Ford, Chevy and Dodge trucks and can be found on our website Authenticity: Not a single truck owner has reported a point loss in a concours judging competition as a result of installing one of our headliners. We go to exacting lengths to ensure that each of our products will look and fit just like the original. Color: With few exceptions, truck headliners were black or brown when they came from the factory during the early years. ABS plastic can be dyed with a flat, vinyl plastic spray paint. The panels also can be covered with cloth and acoustic materials. A word of caution, the automotive paint colors today are vastly different from the Robins Egg Blue and Lima Bean Green of the 1950s and 1960s. Be careful in your selection of color. We recommendusing SEM Vinyl Plastic Spray Paints for your automotive interior. 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972
